Definition
Refrigerated (chilled) transport moves heat-sensitive goods in a compartment held above freezing — typically fresh food, dairy, and some preparations — for the whole trip.
How the cold chain works
An unbroken thermal path: already-chilled product → fast loading → agreed band in transit → unload in a usable window. Long waits or repeated door-opens raise risk even if the vehicle is labeled refrigerated.
