Temperature bands for food and chilled products
Common operating bands — not a substitute for product specs or client instructions.
Editorial review: September 2026
There is no single temperature for every product. Below are common food-logistics bands, confirmed per shipment.
Typical chilled food
A rough 0–5°C band is often requested for dairy, fresh foods, and some beverages. Produce may need a tighter or slightly higher band by SKU.
Typical frozen food
Frozen foods often move near −18°C unless the client specifies otherwise. Continuity matters more than a single snapshot.
How to lock it in
Put the required band in booking notes or a company quote with product type. Do not mix chilled and frozen in one compartment.
